Book: Goldstein, Poole and Safko "Classical Mechanics" 3rd edition. It can be ordered on line from amazon.ca, while for many years it was only available in hardback, there is now a softcover version which is in the $40 range. The second-hand, second edition (1980 or later), copies are also OK, which are also cheap(er) as well. Pretty much all the material we need is in the second edition. This book is classic and has far more material than we need in the course (it can be used as a graduate text as well). Don't be intimidated by it, we'll choose the pieces that are relevant to our course.
